I liked how the trip varied different accommodations and used cable cars, trains as well as walking. Rich ( our guide) was local and his knowledge of guiding, the terrain, and alternative routes were not only impressive but made the trip even more enjoyable. His easygoing personality made the group gel well, however he was always attentive to ensuring our well being.

  Dolomites AV1 - a stunning adventure - Just finished the Dolomites AV1 with Happy Tracks and Kirsti and OMG it was amazing. The scenery each day just got better and better and the Italian Rifugios are fantastic... read more - cosy dorm rooms yes but choice of food at dinner and nice bathrooms meant an altogether more restful experience. The trek was tough to be sure with some long days and steep ascents - don’t underestimate the fitness you need and keep your pack light, you really don’t need much and every kg makes a difference when you are scrambling up!

Our guide Kirsti was amazing - again- this is my second hike with her and she gets better and better. She thinks deeply about each member of the group and making everyone happy and comfortable especially on the tough days. She organised all the routes to suit the group and all the accommodation and food was seamless. Thanks to the back room team at Happy Tracks, to Kirsti and to my incredible group who helped me through this adventure.
