Watch What to Pack for your hike

This packing video covers everything you will need to carry in your backpack for the TMB, Alta Via 1 or Haute Route. By Happy Tracks Co-owner and guide Joel.

Happy Tracks Co-owner Joel tells you what to pack for any guided adventure with us this summer. This packing video covers everything you will need to carry in your backpack for your trek in the Alps with us.

This video covers the basics of what should be in your bag each day- of course for long trips such as the Haute Route and AV1 you will need to carry additional changes of clothes. On the TMB you can wash clothes in Courmayeur at the halfway point if needed making your bag a littler lighter. You can also wash essentials at refuges as most places have a place to hang out clothes to dry.

On trip with luggage transfer you will only need to carry the essentials for each day. We have added some notes below the video for further advice on this.

Luggage Transfer

For this who have opted for bag transfer (available on selected trips), you just need to carry the essentials each day. Evening clothes, toiletries and spare equipment can be left in your transfer bag. This bag is limited to 15kg and must be in a soft sided bag. In your backpack you must always have waterproof clothing, spare warm layers, capacity for 2 liters of water and snacks. We recommend a 20 liter bag to make sure you have space for these items.

If you have any questions about gear or what to pack just drop us an E-mail and we will get back you as soon as possible.

All the best,

Team Happy Tracks
